EKG and Holter Monitors are performed for various reasons such as irregular heartbeat, pro-op screenings and medication checks. You will find that most companies are not interested in performing in EKG's because of the low profitability, but Kosma X-Ray recognizes that there is a large demand for these services in the long term care setting.

When an EKG is performed, the technician provides you with the results immediately so that you can forward them on to the ordering physician. Chest X-Rays are often needed along with EKG's and Kosma can provide you with both services.

Holter monitors are worn for 24 hours. Patient activity is documented while the patient is wearing the monitor. Once complete, we pick up and deliver the monitor to a qualified technician that downloads the information so that we can provide you with a preliminary report within 24-48 hours. The information is then passed on to a Cardiologist for a final read.
